Presidential Statement - COVID19

On the 14th May 2020, the President released a statement regarding COVID19 stating the following:

"Since the beginning of the virus, workers from around the world have continuously kept our world functional and stable, with nurses and doctors working at hospitals around the clock, scientists developing vaccines, people staying home to prevent spread, and much more. If none of this had happened, the virus would've spread a lot faster and would've spread to a lot more people. So far, many countries are either containing it or struggling to contain it, but it will eventually be over like all things. Once over, the world will of course be in a major stage of recovery. Economies, societies, businesses, populations and many more will need to re-grow and recover. This has hit hard everywhere, regardless of what country you are in. Whether you're in Verdis or abroad.

I send my dearest and most sincere condolences to the victims of the coronavirus and my best and most hopeful wishes to everyone around the world impacted by this disaster. As humans, it can be very hard for many of us to self-isolate, especially during family events, but we must do it to keep our loved ones and the rest of the population safe and to end this virus as fast as possible also to keep hospitals and other essentials open. This is a traumatizing and horrific time for almost everyone around the world, and I hope that once we get out of this, the world will be a better place than it was now or before. We have learned lessons during coronavirus including results of pollution decrease, but we have lost many lives.

Once again, I send my dearest and most sincere condolences to the victims and families of the coronavirus and I hope we make our way out of this as soon as possible. Please stay inside and stay safe, regardless of what the event is.

Thank you."

Stay home, save lives.
